Corey King

Revered singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Corey King has got a more impressive CV than most, and that's before we even get to his own solo material. He recently toured with Iggy Pop and has performed and recorded with Bonobo, DJ Premier, Mos Def, Bilal, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Gil-Scott Heron and countless others.

In 2016 he began to step out on his own, releasing eight-track collection Lash, and now he's back with a new album, A Loveless Sunken Sun (due tomorrow, October 11), and today he's sharing the new single, "3 Years", a soulful, entrancing, immersive feat of multi-faceted creativity. Like the rest of the album, "3 Years" was written mostly at his base in Brooklyn, NY, as well as on tour. The seven tracks that came from that continue the indie sound he started with, but into that he's woven krautrock, Afrobeats and soul music for a mellow but potent piece of music.
