Confessing your love to a friend can go one of two ways: either they change their mind about only wanting a friendship and you ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after, or you humiliate yourself and completely destroy a friendship. Unfortunately, for our protagonist, rising indie talent Lonnie Storey, he won prize number two. Still, his pain is our blessing because the new single that experience inspired, "Found You", is a cool, funk-tinged, indie bubbler with a swaggering groove and an infectious chant on the refrain.

Speaking with Complex via email, Lonnie told us: "It's about telling a mate you flat-out fancy them out of nowhere and it all going horrendously wrong, painfully backfiring right in your ugly, crying, drunken face."

Damn.
