Drake continues to smash records on both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts. The Toronto rapper currently has six albums on the Billboard 200, with Care Package, Scorpion, Take Care, Views, More Life, and Nothing Was the Same all charting. Now that the last of those albums has spent over 300 weeks on the chart sitting at No. 168, Drizzy has joined a prestigious club that only includes one other rapper.
Until recently, Eminem was the only hip-hop artist to have at least two projects with a minimum of 300 weeks on the Billboard 200. Three of Em's records, Recovery, The Eminem Show, and Curtain Call: The Hits have sat on the charts for a long time at 320, 357, and 459 weeks respectively. Drake's Take Care has been there for a total of 338 weeks, while his 2013 effort Nothing Was the Same has just reached the 300 mark.
Of course, Drake has yet to reach the same level of success Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City has had in terms of longevity, as the project has reached a total of 356 weeks in the top 200. However, Take Care is on track to reach over 350 weeks by the end of 2019 if it continues to perform strongly so far removed from its release. The longest an album has ever sat on the charts is Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, at 943 weeks, followed by Bob Marley and the Wailers' Legend at 588 weeks. So yeah, Drake has some work to do.
