The countdown to UK singer-songwriter Mahalia's debut album is on, and she's turning up the heat with her new single "Simmer". Calling on Burna Boy, the pair rework Beenie Man's classic single, 1997's "Who Am I", resulting in a crashing mid-tempo R&B number, proving she's not afraid to shake up the setting ahead of Love & Compromise on September 6.
Last seen rocking the BBC Introducing stage at Glasto last month, Mahalia's Love & Compromise tour kicks off later this year at home, in the Midlands, before ending with a date at the Roundhouse in London. In the meantime, check out "Simmer"—produced by Jonah Christian and Felix Joseph—below.
