Lil Yachty and Yung Bans took shots at each on social media over the last week, with the former accusing the latter of copying him.

"U my son stop tryin' me bitch," Yachty said after it was pointed out there was simlarities between the cover art for Yung Bans' new album Misunderstood and his own debut album Teenage Emotions.

The two went back and forth, with Bans firing back, "You a whole hoe and your music will never sound like mine. Tf is Teenage Emotions sweet ass n***a?!"

Now Yachty has resurfaced with receipts, showing DMs between him and Bans from 2017. "I don't entertain it on here y'all, cause n***as been dick suckin' since the beginning of time," Yachty tweeted alongside a couple screenshots of his DMs.

"Teenage Emotions fire," Bans said to Yachty in one message. "I'm tryna' get like you 1 day twin," he said in another.

The two generally appeared to be on good terms, but it would appear as though Yachty definitely isn't happy about the art for Misunderstood, which bares a resemblance to Teenage Emotions while also covering similiar subject matter.

DJ Akademiks, who also previously got involved with the beef, chimed on Twitter shortly after Yachty shared the screenshots. "Yung Bans is the reason why ppl think most rappers are frauds," he tweeted. "Being a stan in DMs and then publicly tryna' shit on u. Look at him literally ryna' get adopted as Lil Yachty bastard child in his dms... disgusting."

Misunderstood is out on July 24 and features appearances from XXXTentacion, 03Greedo, Young Thug, Future, Gunna, and YNW Melly.
