Having made his debut with fellow German NOVAA back in 2016 on the Down Under EP, Cologne-based singer, songwriter and producer Simon Ebener-Holscher, aka Moglii, followed that up with his own Naboo EP the following year before going a little quiet in 2018, at least in terms of releases. Now he's back with his new single "Flow", a surprising and nuanced piece of indie electro pop filled with spontaneity and charm. It's not clear whether or not this will form part of a bigger release, but for now consider it a primer before he heads out on tour with Elderbrook.
Speaking with Complex via email, Moglii told us: "I wrote 'Flow' two years ago during a profoundly formative trip to Tenerife. We camped in the middle of nature and woke up every morning at the sea — it was a surreal experience, seemingly detached from time and space, made even more magical by a special encounter: I fell in love there and put that flow I experienced with this girl into a song. It's about getting to know each other, the deepening of the relationship and the natural lightness and ease that underlined it all."
