March 26 marked the 75th birthday of the inimitable Diana Ross, who celebrated among good great company at the Warwick in Los Angeles.

Beyoncé, as reported by Entertainment Tonight, was one of the guests for the evening festivities. At some point during the night, Tracee Ellis Ross—with Diddy nearby—had the mic.

"Beyoncé, are you still here?" she asked the crowd. "Do you wanna sing 'Happy Birthday?' Come on down . . . This is a really good 75 years." From there, Beyoncé emerged to deliver the perfect rendition:

In addition to the enviable gift of having B sing you the birthday song, Ross was also given a whole formal day of celebration from the city of Los Angeles:

Beyoncé will receive a very special honor herself at this week's 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Alongside husband JAY-Z, B will be presented with the Vanguard Award for their work as "global icons and passionate defenders of human rights." It's not publicly known just yet whether the two will attend the ceremony, which is being held at the Beverly Hilton hotel this Thursday.

Earlier this year, music's leading power couple hit fans with a reasonable vegan challenge in the name of prospective free tickets.
