Jamila Woods is preparing to release LEGACY! LEGACY!, her first full-length project since 2016's Heavn.

The Chicago singer-songwriter announced the release date via Instagram on Tuesday, and shared the official video for the album's "Zora" record. The Vincent Martell-directed visual was filmed inside the Johnson Publishing Archives at Stony Island Arts Bank in Chicago.

"My weaponry is my energy ... An antidote for the feeling of being judged on first glance," Jamila said about the new track. "A salve for when people think they know you better than you know yourself. It's about refusing to be essentialized and not allowing your identity to be put in a box. You contain multitudes. You are ever-evolving. A song to get free from stereotypes and assumptions, inspired by the writing of Zora Neale-Hurston."

You can check out the "Zora" video above. LEGACY! LEGACY! is expected to arrive May 10. The 13-track project will include guest appearances by Saba, Nico Segal, Nitty Scott, and Jasminfire, as well as production by Peter Cottontale and Chicago's Slot-A.
