Not to be mistaken for an R&B singer, Ruby Rushton is the band name of Tenderlonious (aka Ed Cawthorne, the UK jazz stalwart and 22a label founder), Nick Walters, Aidan Shepherd and Tim Carnegie. Expected on 7" vinyl in February, "Eleven Grapes" will also feature on Ironside, Ruby Rushton's fourth LP, which is set for release on April 5.

Consider this a warm-up; Tenderlonious does things with the flute you're not likely to hear often and "Eleven Grapes" sounds like it could be straight off a 1970s movie soundtrack. Influenced by jazz greats alongside contemporary street sounds, this new catalogue of music offers a much more considered approach than the jam session-led workings of Tenderlonious' Shakedown album.

If you've got tickets for the London show on January 31 or the April tour, count yourself a winner.
