When the Free Nationals—who are commonly known for being the backing band of Anderson .Paak—announced that they were finally ready to deliver their debut single, they weren't playing games. Their first single "Beauty & Essex" not only displays their cohesiveness as a band but welcomes features from Daniel Caesar and Unknown Mortal Orchestra—not only as a major flex, but more importantly to complete this now perfect song.

Today the Free Nationals deliver eye catching visuals directed by Scott Lazer to pair with the already mesmerizing single. Their new brightly colored video finds each of the members—with a guest appearance from .Paak—under wraps as they continue to casually play. The result is something equally confusing and captivating. Caesar can be seen intertwined with various women. Each time, he find himself in a new setting with a new woman. And yet, he doesn't seem to look any happier than before. The rotation within the video make the lyrics more vivid: "Just looking for affection, add a piece to my collection / And maybe who knows, let's see where this goes."
