One of the benefits of being a record-breaking, history-making rapper is obviously the pay out. Cardi B blew up in 2017, but thanks to her debut album and success on the charts in 2018, the 26-year-old made real money moves. She won’t book a show for less than $300,000, and we can see why. Becalis has some real big girl bills, which now include her mother’s new mansion in NYC.

Through Instagram, Cardi showed off the new house while explaining that it was her “childhood dream” to buy her mother a home. Last year she could only afford a $600,000 place, which apparently wasn’t enough to get the house she had in mind. As a broke af pleb, writing this is painful, but to be fair the housing market in NYC is ridiculous.

“Happiest day of my life,” Cardi says in a video of the new house, touring a massive kitchen with white cabinets. “Last year, I was so thirsty to buy my mom a home, and I could only afford a house that cost $600,000, and you know, we live in New York.”

Cardi took video of other parts of the house, including the foyer and basement. “I waited, I waited, I waited, I waited until I could afford a dream home,” she continues.

For the young rapper, it’s not only a home for her mom, but a beautiful place her baby girl Kulture can come when visiting grandma. “I’m emotional,” she says in the video. “I’m just happy that when my daughter visits her grandma’s house, she’s going to come here.”

It’s unclear how much Cardi spent on the new place, but it’s likely more than a million. The purchase comes just in time for the holiday season. “Can’t wait until all my family comes here, Thanksgiving, everything,” Cardi says. “So happy.”
