Cardi B has a knack for making history, and now she’s doing it again by becoming the first woman ever to perform as the musical guest for the AVN Awards.

The award show is part of the larger AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, and has been dubbed the Oscars of porn. Knowing Cardi’s price tag, AVN likely spent a big chunk of change to have the Bronx artist take the stage on Jan. 26. “I’m so excited that the AVN Awards chose me to be their first female performer ever!” Cardi B said in a statement. “I can’t wait!”

It’s no surprise AVN would reach out to Cardi for a performance. She’s not only one of the hottest rappers of 2018, but she formerly worked in adult entertainment as a stripper—a fact she wears as a badge of honor. “People say, ‘Why do you always got to say that you used to be a stripper? We get it.’ Because y’all don’t respect me because of it, and y’all going to respect these strippers from now on,” she told Cosmopolitan back in March.

As her wildly successful year comes to a close, the “Money” emcee is setting her sights on 2019, which could include a collab with Mariah Carey. “I’m looking forward to doing anything and everything that I could possibly take on,” she toldEntertainment Weeklyfor her “Entertainers of the Year” cover. “The only thing that’ll stop me right now is time.”

But Becalis never forgets where she come from, and recently visited her old high school in the Bronx to talk with some of the students about the importance of education. She even cried reuniting with one of her old teachers. Check out that video below.
