With the flames ignited by Eminem's Kamikaze still flickering in the background of hip-hop, the Rap God will sit down with longtime friend Elton John for the Detroit edition of John's Beats 1 Radio Show, Rocket Hour.

The conversation is set to air on Saturday, Oct. 13 and will highlight both Elton John and Em's unique affinity for the Motor City.

"I'm in Detroit because Detroit has been famous for so many wonderful types of music. I mean, from Motown to Aretha Franklin, to Iggy Pop to Eminem, White Stripes, Bob Seger. It just goes on and on. Kid Rock. So here we are," John explains before starting his interview with Slim Shady.

This talk will travel down the course of a friendship that began at the 1999 Grammy Awards when John and Em performed a duet rendition of "Stan." They'll speak on Revival, Kamikaze, and the beef with Machine Gun Kelly, as well as the more untapped subject matter like longevity in the music business.

Similar to their unlikely friendship, this interview will offer a unique perspective into Eminem's life and his love for his friends, music, and Detroit.
