After a six-week hiatus, OVO Sound Radio is back on the air.

This week’s episode includes a special guest mix by Onyx Collective, an experimental jazz ensemble led by Isaiah Barr and Austin Williamson. Based in NYC, the group has made several big moves throughout the summer, chief among them are: starring in Woolrich’s American Soul Since 1830 campaign alongside Lauryn Hill; and releasing their debut LP, Lower East Suite Part Three.

Barr and Williamson spoke about the project in a recent interview with the New York Times, explaining how the LP saluted the culture of downtown NYC.

“We wanted to record it in one place and we wanted a place that had that sacred spirit of downtown,” Barr said about the decision to record the album at Magic Gallery on Canal Street. “This is a home. It’s not a studio. It’s the opposite of stale. It’s this rooted place.”

Saturday’s installment will also feature a special mix by regular guests G0homeroger and Kid Masterpiece. Episode 67 will mark the duo’s fifth appearance on OVO Sound, so it’s fitting that this week’s set will be dedicated entirely to Drake and the OVO crew.

“Our mix will pay homage to The Boy @champagnepapi, @oliverelkhatib, and @ovosound for creating radio platform for us and so many other guests to showcase our creativity,” G0homeroger wrote on Instagram. “I’m incredibly grateful for opportunities they give us each episode.”
