NJOMZA has started a new chapter in her career, and she’s inviting fans to join her on the journey.
More than a year after she shared her debut EP, Sad for You, the Los Angeles-based singer has released a slow-burning record called “Lonely Nights”—the first single off her upcoming VACATION project. The track finds NJOMZA reflecting on her emotional isolation and yearning for a special somebody to accompany her.
“I locked in with producers I love and poured out what I was feeling in that moment for each song. I was in a confused but surprisingly content state during the time I was writing VACATION,” she told Complex. “I was able to let go and lose myself creating it and I came back feeling more alive than before. ‘Lonely Nights’ is a sensual love song. I’m trying to get away from my loneliness. I need to get away—I need a vacation. I’m calling for somebody to join me ... letting them know they can escape their fears and all their stress. We can create our own heaven together for one night.”

The singer’s seven-track VACATION EP is set arrive in October and serves as the follow up to Sad for You, which was released under Mac Miller’s Most Dope record label.
