As we wait for Mac Miller’s new album to arrive, the Pittsburgh has given fans a little something to hold them over.

On Wednesday, Miller posted a video for his new standalone track called “Inertia,” featuring bass by Thundercat and production by Larry Fisherman (the rapper’s pseudonym). The visual begins with Miller inside the studio, where he begins to play the keyboards with a cigarette in his mouth. He then does a few vocal exercises before going in on two-minute freestyle:

A made a million and it killed me
My second million got me motherfuckin’ filthy
You ain’t nothin’ till you die and come to life iller
They haven’t made a motherfucker iller, Mr. Miller
You can check out the video, edited by Sam Balaban, above.

Miller will release his fifth studio album, Swimming, this Friday. The 13-track effort will include the previously released singles “Small Worlds,” “Self Care,” and “What’s the Use?” Fans can pre-order it now on all major streaming services.

In support of the album, Miller will hit the road for a North American tour featuring guests Thundercat and J.I.D. The trek will kick off Oct. 27 in San Francisco and will conclude Dec. 9 in Seattle.
