Cardi B, The Weeknd, Janet Jackson, and Janelle Monáe to Headline Global Citizen Fest 2018

Cardi B, The Weeknd, Janet Jackson, Janelle Monáe, and more are set to hit the free Global Citizen Festival in Central Park this September. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness will once again host the event.

Cardi B is among the headliners for this year's Global Citizen Festival, which will again take over Central Park next month.

B is joined by The Weeknd, Janet Jackson, Janelle Monáe, and Shawn Mendes for this year's edition of the free-ticketed event. John Legend, a previous Global Citizen partner, is also set to give attendees a "special guest set." Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness will host. The goal, thankfully, remains the same: bring extreme poverty to an end by 2030.

"It is invaluable to be in a position where I can use my voice to help the millions of people in need," The Weeknd said in a press release Tuesday. "I am honored to align myself with Global Citizen in the fight to end world poverty." As with previous incarnations of the festival, prospective attendees can earn a ticket via a variety of activism efforts on the Global Citizen app. The festival hits Central Park Sept. 29 and will also be streamed live via Twitter and YouTube.

As previously reported, Cardi B—who recently announced that she would be dropping off a tour with Bruno Mars—will also be headlining this October's Mala Luna Festival in San Antonio.
