Stop what you’re doing, no matter its importance, and join Rae Sremmurd in "Guatemala."
As triple-disc aficionados will note, the track at the center of this new video is actually a Swae Lee solo cut featuring Slim Jxmmi. At any rate, catch the new Ear Drummer Films and Guerilla Hollywood-produced "Guatemala" video up top.
"The video for Guatemala was shot a month before the country was hit by a devastating eruption," a message at the beginning of the new Sremmurd video clarifies. "Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Guatemala."
The new video has the unique benefit of arriving just a few short weeks after Swae Lee reminded everyone that he and Slim Jxmmi were robbed of a Grammy. In fact, they are also in the market for a Nobel Peace Prize. "It lets me know that they owe me a fucking Grammy, " Lee toldGQ. "I need a Nobel Peace Prize for 'Black Beatles,' making the world freeze, making all the violence freeze, making everything freeze for a moment in time."
Before the Nobel Peace Prizes start rolling in, catch Sremmurd on two of the year's biggest tours. First up, Lee and Jxmmi will be co-headlining their way from Detroit to Phoenix with Wiz Khalifa on the aptly named Dazed & Blazed Tour. Then, they'll be on the road with Childish Gambino for a tour they've publicly speculated could result in a collaboration. "He's just a cool guy and we got the same type of vibe, so you can expect good music to come out of this," Jxmmi toldBillboard in March. "It's natural."
