Lil Pump Announces Collaborative Project With Smokepurpp

The "Gucci Gang" rapper hit up Instagram on Wednesday night, claiming the joint project would arrive after his 'Harvard Dropout' tape.

It sounds like Lil Pump and Smokepurpp are gearing up to release a joint project.

The “Esskeetit” rapper announced the news Wednesday night in an Instagram Live broadcast, claiming the collaborative effort would follow his long-awaited Harvard Dropout project.

“‘Sup, guys. After I drop this project (Harvard Dropout), I'm dropping a project with my boy Smokepurpp,” he said in the clip. “We about to drop some crazy shit.”

There aren’t many details about what the two Florida rappers have on deck; however, we do know what a Pump x Smokepurpp collaboration sounds like. The longtime friends previously linked up on the 2017 tracks “OK” and “Movin’,” both of which were produced by Ronny J.

Pump recently spoke to Nardwuar about meeting Smokepurpp at the age of 9, and how they both got kicked out of school on the same day. When asked about the details of their expulsions, and the rumors that they shut down their school, Pump couldn't provide any specifics.

“That one, I forgot […] Man, we shuttin’ everything down, bitch. We shutting schools, shows, all that,” he said.

In an Instagram post last week, Pump announced his Harvard Dropout tape would arrive sometime in July. But, other than a few snippets, there is little information about what Harvard Dropout will deliver.

Keep it locked as more details about both upcoming projects become available.
