Lido Transforms 'Kids See Ghosts' Into 7-Minute Mix

Lido blended the works of Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s joint project.

Lido has taken Kanye West’s recent seven-song album approach, and upped the ante. Like a scene straight out of There’s Something About Mary, the 25-year-old musician took Mr. West’s idea, and explored the concept of a seven-minute song that predominantly incorporates tracks from Kids See Ghosts, while also pulling a little bit from Kanye and Kid Cudi’s catalog.

At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if you assumed the role of Ted Stroehmann, played by Ben Stiller, in Something About Mary, and injected considerable doubt into the theory that such a seven-minute song would even be worthwhile. But why don’t you just give it a listen below before placing judgment.

Back in 2016, Lido, whose real name is Peder Losnegård, took Kanye's The Life of Pablo and transformed it into an 8-minute song. Some believe that he has outdone himself with his latest re-imagination of Kids See Ghosts and Ye

Lido discussed his appreciation for remixing music in a 2016 interview with Complex. "In general, I think my appreciation for remixing has a lot to do with me just loving ideas," he said. "I grew up surrounded by a lot of gospel musicians and a lot of jazz musicians. Improv and interpretations of songs and changing of songs was a very natural thing for me."
