Despite the success he's managed to achieve over the years, South African musician Muzi's music remains deeply inspired by his upbringing. Striving through adversity in the semi-rural township of Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal—where he'd have to travel for hours to get internet access to send demos to record labels, before moving to Durban, where he sold his beats on the streets to survive—it hasn't been easy for the rapper.
After spending some time over in Europe, Muzi wrote and recorded his second album, Afrovision, exclusively in South Africa and is now ready to present his latest video from the project: "Nu Day", featuring Okmalumkoolkat. The track is an example of why this album has brought him so much success domestically and internationally, as it showcases his ability musically but also as a representative of South Africa and the different music inspiring the scene out there.
