Playboi Carti fans can stop holding their collective breath. The rapper’s long-awaited project, Die Lit, is finally here.

The project arrived Thursday night, about five months after Carti told fans he was in full-on “Album Mode.” Carti die-hards were unsurprisingly pumped; however, they didn’t receive any big updates until the end of March, when producer Pi’erre Bourne confirmed the project was already completed.

“Somebody from the label wants me to tweet Carti's albums done,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet. When a fan questioned who exactly from the label requested the announce, Bourne replied, “Me.”

Though it was exciting news, the project’s release date was nowhere in sight. That is, until Thursday night, when Carti made a surprising announcement:

Minutes later, DJ Akademiks hit up Twitter, claiming Carti decided to abruptly drop the album because “he’s a rebel” who “don’t give a f*ck.”

We could care less about the reasons. We’re just happy the project is finally here.

You can listen to Die Lit now on Spotify.
