It hasn't even been a year since Toronto's anders released his debut EP, 669, but a lot has happened for the rising star since then: nine million streams and a couple of splashy music videos later—one of which was directed by "God's Plan" director Karena Evans—anders is back with his sophomore effort, Twos.
There's no sign of a sophomore slump here as the singer/songwriter sounds even more refined and focused across Twos' eight tracks. He again tapped frequent collaborator LUCA as executive producer for the project, with additional production coming care of the likes of FrancisGotHeat, Jordon Manswell and Bizness Boi.
Just as House of Balloons stands as a sonic snapshot of a particular time in Toronto, Twos feels very much an artifact of now. anders hosted a sold-out listening party for the project in his hometown last night, showing that his fanbase is not only loyal but growing, so we're looking forward to seeing how things continue to build for the young talent.
