One look at his discography and it’s clear Gucci Mane has established himself as one of the most prolific rappers of 2017. In addition to landing a slew of features this year, the artist has released an EP, a 10-track mixtape, and his 11th studio album Mr. Davis, which officially dropped only two months ago.
But the hardest-working man in hip-hop wasn’t done.
On Thursday night, the 37-year-old rapper shared the El Gato the Human Glacier album, marking his third commercial release within the past seven months. What’s even more impressive is that he reportedly created the album in only two days, alongside 808 Mafia producer Southside.
Back in September, Gucci announced he was going independent in 2018 so he could unleash a “mixtape every other day.” Those plans were apparently scrapped last month after Gucci announced he had inked a $10 million extension with Atlantic Records.
Hit records, multiple project releases, and his recent marriage to Keyshia Ka'Oir—it’s clear Gucci is on top of the world right now.
“This has been the best year of my life,” he told Zane Lowe back in May. “It has been a hell of an experience, you know. And I just feel like the best way for me to celebrate is to celebrate with my fans that supported me all while I was gone. The fans who supported me the whole year I been back.”
