The 1980s were a truly remarkable time. Big hair, shoulder pads and Patrick Swayze ruled the roost and synthesisers were the soundtrack of choice. The whole era is ripe for nostalgic backward glances, and L.A.D's "One More Night" has to be one of the most uncanny nostalgia trips. Every feeling of that decade, right down to the graininess of the synths, has been perfectly captured by the London-based trio. While a lot of '80s-inspired music simply mimics the synths or raids a sample pack or two, L.A.D have gone all in, honing in on the the raw, brash emotion of the '80s, rather than just the sound.
