Meme machine and all-around multi-hyphenate Drake is a big MF DOOM fan. We already knew this. Still, an Instagram post from Drake Monday caused a small wave of apparent shock.
Drake's caption choice, of course, is merely a line from the 2004 Madvillain track "Accordion."
The 6 god's wise MF DOOM fandom was previously confirmed way back in 2013, but that hasn't stopped fans from freaking the fuck out.
Some conjured up mental images of a Drake x DOOM collab, while others chided Drake fans:
Though absolutely no part of Drake's Instagram post should be interpreted as a sly DOOM collab announcement, we do know he's been in the studio in recent months cooking up something. Pi'erre Bourne, for one, has been working on trying to convince Drake to hop on a Life of Pi'erre 4 track. Bourne is also working on Drake's forthcoming new album.
Hopefully, the new Drake drops before he enters his recently announced six-month music hiatus.
