Roy Wood$, one of the new acts signed to Drake’s OVO Sound, has released his debut album Waking at Dawn.

The project is a follow-up to his Exis EP, which was released in July of last year. At 10 tracks in length, Waking at Dawn captures a familiar aesthetic found in Drake and dvsn’s music: moody and atmospheric that can make any hot summer day turn into a cold Toronto evening. It features “How I Feel,” a record that was premiered on episode 17 of OVO Sound Radio by Oliver El-Khatib, and has grown into a fan favorite. Travi$ Scott seems to be down with the song too:

For starters, you can vibe out to “Down Girl” and “Gwan Big Up Urself,” another Jamaican dancehall anthem from the camp that has the potential to pop.

Although Wood$ is still a young artist on the come up, he’s already got a collaboration with Drake (“Drama”) that signified his star power. We’ll have to wait a bit to see the response of Waking at Dawn, but you can stream the entire project via Spotify below.
