Over the last week, the biggest story in music and larger pop culture has been the series of videos that Kim Kardashian posted to her Snapchat purportedly depicting Taylor Swift giving her consent to Kanye West to use a line in his song "Famous" about her.

For Kanye's ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, it was a conflicting revelation that she discussed on her VH1 series The Amber Rose Show. "I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye… but I was next to him at the VMAs that year,” she said about the incident when West interrupted Swift during the latter's acceptance speech. “I remember the repercussions after that...I remember Taylor’s mother and father coming up to us and saying, ‘One day Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you.”

"He was so remorseful," Rose recalled. "I mean he really felt so bad because it wasn’t about Taylor. It was about Beyoncé and her video…he didn’t want to interrupt Taylor—he didn’t even know who she was at the time." Then shifting to address The Life of Pablo rapper's decision to call Swift about "Famous" before releasing the song, she said, "He really went through a lot of bullshit and I know that Kanye would never ever go through that again by not calling Taylor and say, ‘Heads up, I’m about to go write this verse real quick. Just wanted to make sure you’re cool with it.’ I know that about Kanye."

Additionally, Rose says she remains perplexed about why she never got a phone call from him when it came time to discuss the infamous music video for the song. "Why didn’t I get a phone call for using a naked wax figure in your video Kanye?” She added, “I mean, Taylor gets a call but I don’t get a call.”

Even though she didn't get a head's up, Rose clearly seems to fall on the Team Kardashian-West side of this conflict, but implored the Kayne to "stay the fuck out of the news so I don’t have to talk about your ass no more.”
