Once the best kept secrets in the L.A. music scene, a race of angels is gradually sliding into the public eye as the release of their new EP Before The Last Goodbye draws ever closer. Jazz virtuoso Thundercat, among others, has vouched for the budding singer-songwriter and it's easy to see why. On "Hiding In The Light", over downbeat strings and a gentle piano line, emotionally-wrought vocals weave a tale of honesty and trust in relationships in a deeply affecting way. The EP, which is due for release Apr. 8 on Fresh Selects, will be followed by a race of angels' debut album, Pointless, later in the year—though the release date has yet to be confirmed.
