Chance the Rapper gave fans a very special performance at Austin City Limits over the weekend, where he ended his explosive set with the debut of a new, untitled song and an interesting tease before he left the stage. Right after Chance was done performing the new track, he simply said, "Third mixtape," which is a clear hint that he's back in the studio working on some long-awaited solo material.

To this point, Chance has released two solo mixtapes during his short career, with #10Day in 2012 and then the critically-acclaimed Acid Rap in 2013. Chance didn't offer up any additional details on when he might drop the third mixtape, but the Chicago MC usually doesn't operate without a clear plan in place for the release of his music. This year alone, Chance has already released Surf with Donnie Trumpet and a collaboration EP with Lil B, but it now appears that the true follow up to Acid Rap is in the works, and that's something that everyone can be thankful for. Chance is currently on the road for his "Family Matters" tour, which you can view the dates for here
