UPDATE 07/23: And just like that, some three hours after his concert was announced to be canceled, Future has come to the rescue with a change of venue. Future just announced on Instagram that the Los Angeles edition of his free "Salute The Fans" concert series has moved from The Roxy—where #FutureHive shut down a portion of Sunset Boulevard—to the House of Blues. The new venue is less than a mile down the road from The Roxy but given the last-minute switch and announcement, hopefully the spot isn't overrun by fans and can hold it down for the night. Check out Future's announcement below, and if you're in L.A., hurry down to the House of Blues to become one of the lucky 800 fans getting in for free.

Hopefully some of Future's Los Angeles fans were tuned into last night's concert stream because the rapper's planned show out West was canceled earlier today. The scheduled performance at The Roxy was the final in a four-day mini-tour in support of Future's latest release, Dirty Sprite 2. Like the other three "Salute The Fans" concerts, tonight's show in L.A. was also free, which brought out more fans than the venue could handle, which in turn brought out some cops in riot gear.

According to CBS, police closed off a section of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood today due to the swelling crowd outside The Roxy. Not unlike Future's show in New York yesterday, fans reportedly began lining up for a free pass as early as 9 a.m. The Roxy only holds some 500 people and when the venue began handing out wristbands the commotion was enough to bring out some Los Angeles County sheriff deputies.

Deputies wearing helmets reportedly broke up the crowd at around 3:45 pm shortly after the cancelation was announced. The Roxy shared the update on Twitter and directed fans to Future's account for further details.

Future will no longer be performing at The Roxy tonight. Please follow @1future for updates.
