The most interesting collaboration from UK producer Jamie xx's upcoming album, In Colour, has finally arrived and it doesn't disappoint. On "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)," Jamie matches Young Thug's wild energy with the electric production that is set off with an incredible soul sample for the hook. The final version of the track is set to also feature an appearance from Popcaan, and it will be available when the album officially drops on June 2. UPDATE 5/20/15: The final version of "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" is now available. As promised, it includes Popcaan and his signature melodic vocals. Jamie xx's production is also more lush here than the previously leaked version, with light drums bouncing under Thugger's flow. One other thing to note: Thug's verses are flipped, which means he doesn't start off the track with his amazing line, "I'ma ride in that pussy like a stroller."
The record was shared through OVO, which makes sense considering Popcaan's close association with Drake's camp.
