30 years after putting together "Band Aid," an all-star cast to releasing the song "Do They Know It's Christmas" that was used to assist those suffering from famine in Ethiopia, Irish rocker Bob Geldof assembled a similar "Band Aid" cast recently to record a 2014 version of the song to aid those suffering from the global Ebola outbreak. Now released as a single, the updated "Do They Know It's Christmas" will be remixed for EDM consumption by none other than Frenchman David Guetta. It's entirely possible that he was the second choice for remix duty, as UK garage/house superstars Disclosure were listed on the Band Aid 30 website as being involved, and were included in press releases for the single, too. Regarding the tease, Disclosure stated, that they had "[n]o planned remix or involvement of any kind unfortunately." Insofar as Guetta, this, alongside his work with the Coca Cola/(RED) AIDS campaign continues his work in dance music alongside charitable ventures. There has been no date given as yet regarding the remix's release.
