Whether it be the World Series, Fashion Week in Paris, or an open mic event in New Jersey, you never know where Kanye West will pop up. The latter is where 'Ye happened to be last night, when he showed up solo to the "Wolf Juice" open mic night at The Dopeness, a local Mexican restaurant in Jersey City.

Yeezy was in attendance to support Jahmila Sandifer, PKA Jay Hype, who is reportedly the daughter of one of 'Ye's family friends, and even refers to him as her uncle. According to the restaurant's owner, Jon Scanlon, Yeezy was at the event for around 15 minutes to watch Hype's performance, gave her a hug and a kiss, and then left the building. It was fitting that Hype performed her ode to Kanye, "K.O.W." (Kanye Omari West) during her showcase, seeing how this was the first time that 'Ye had seen her perform live.

"Kanye is a very, very big idol in my life and I try to incorporate the stuff he does into my work," said Sandifer, who raps about self-esteem and relationships and puts emphasis on her energy and flow. "He gives me pointers and I take it very seriously...his opinion is always in the back of my mind."

As you can see from the photos above, Kanye was enjoying himself at the event, smiling in pictures with fans and enjoying the moment.
