If you're looking for a little post-disco soul to ease your way into the weekend, we've got your medicine right here with Sunrise Highway's "Pick Up the Pieces" and an accompanying video premiere. If you haven't had a chance to check out this disco trio, you might want to sample the vibe now as they're getting love from the likes of disco legend Nile Rogers and just pumped out a five-track EP on Tensnake's True Romance Records.

Comprised of powerhouse Queens born (but Boston based) vocalist Amy Douglas, and New York producers Tim Wagner and Nick Chacona, the trio owes much of their feel to a desire to evoke early '80s early-morning parties at Paradise Garage than anything else. Erring more in the direction of the sweet spot between disco funk and R&B, this is a jazzy swing in an inherently danceable direction.

We're also stoked to let you know that we got our hands on the accompanying video first, which was directed by Boston-area bassist/videographer Rob Philips and is an homage to Warhol's Screen Tests. You can scope the tune and video below and be sure to keep an eye on this crew, as we're all sure that big things are in their future.
