And now you know why we were so concerned with the balance of EDM Twitter while deadmau5 was gone. Over night, a Twitter follower inadvertently instigated an awkward Twitter back-and-forth between deadmau5 and Porter Robinson. The entire exchange is posted up above, but here's our breakdown:
Before his gig at Story in Miami, Porter tweets about how he loves the club's sound. A Tweeter replies saying that deadmau5 might feel differently, to which deadmau5 (who was killing time backstage by hopping on Twitter) automatically jumps in, calling Porter a "fuckin dickhead." Porter doesn't back down, basically telling deadmau5 to stop making a public spectacle of himself, to which deadmau5 says if he acted more like Porter, he'd probably end up in bed with a (drunken) 16-year-old. Porter zings right back with a picture of anime tentacle rape that's tatted on deadmau5's arm.
Of course, the winner of this seemingly-heated convo was Dillon Francis, who hilariously suggested that these two go on a coffee run to sort things out... and later telling deadmau5 that he wanted to be "in" him.
Oh, Twitter.
