The 2013 Electric Zoo Festival in New York City has been cancelled, and it appears that drug usage is being attributed as the cause. Apparently, two attendees have died and another four attendees have been hospitalized after two days of the three day festival. Authorities suspect that the usage of molly is responsible for the deaths. Today's scheduled performances included Steve Aoki, Zedd, and Diplo. Diplo had intended on breaking the world record for the longest twerk session during his set.

Electric Zoo has been a staple in the New York City music scene for several years now. Meanwhile, molly continues to be a trend in America, with rappers now name dropping the recreational drug as a drug of choice.

Electric Zoo has been cancelled today Sunday, September 1st. More information to follow.
