Cower in fear: MMG rapper and human L.A. Riot Richard Morales, better known as Gunplay, is apparently back on the street after his October arrest for armed robbery and aggravated assault charges, according to DDotOmen and confirmed by both Gunplay and Rick Ross' Twitter accounts.

The news comes just in time for the release of the rapper's Cops and Robbers mixtape, due out tomorrow. It is the follow-up to last year's 601 and Snort and The Prelude mixtapes, which helped build his buzz after a high-profile Kendrick Lamar collaboration; that song, "Cartoon and Cereal," was listed as Complex's second-best song of 2012.

Gunplay's initial crime was captured in a dramatic video in which he assaulted his accountant. He still faces a potential 10-year sentence if convicted. The rapper's upcoming album Medillin is scheduled for spring on Def Jam.
