With a new full-length, mixtape and remix on the immediate horizon, Wiz Khalifa has his hands full. The Pittsburgh rapper recently stopped by CivilTV for a chat about his various projects and the rumors and reception around them.

Khalifa came under fire earlier this month when he revealed the polarizing cover art for his sophomore full-length O.N.I.F.C., which finds him in a fur coat, seated in a throne-like chair and looking at least a bit like Jimi Hendrix. Khalifa defended the image, saying, “That whole era of people, they all look like that … it doesn’t mean that I’m trying to be Jimi Hendrix … I embody that [era’s] mindframe, that spirit.”

Next Khalifa and Civil talked about the upcoming remix to the O.N.I.F.C. single “Work Hard, Play Hard.” The remix is set to feature Lil Wayne, Drake and, as Khalifa explicitly doesn’t deny, Snowman. Finally Civil asked about Live In Concert, Khalifa’s recently postponed collaborative mixtape with Curren$y. The delay, he says, is “definitely because of people getting sued,” but that the album will be out before the end of the year and maybe even before the end of the month.
