Reason It Was Shelved: After Duran Duran's 2004 reunion album Astronaut, the group was said to have been working on Reportage as a follow-up. Guitarist Andy Taylor left the group in 2006 and Duran Duran scrapped the tracks from Reportage and went on to record Red Carpet Massacre in 2007. Duran Duran reportedly worked on the project for six weeks and developed cover art which was all presented to their label at the time. They had plans to work with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on the album, as well.

Why We'd Kill To Hear It: Any collaboration with a mid-00 era Justin Timberlake and Timbaland is nothing to sleep on. Around that time, Justin establishing his musical cred while Timbaland was still that go-to producer. If the two had joined forces with Duran Duran, the resulting awesomeness would rival the table-flipping scene in the "Hungry Like the Wolf" video. And that's pretty hard to top.
