The expectations of a "mixtape" have been raised. Some say it started with Drake's So Far Gone, which really felt more like a debut album than a free mixtape, and since then it has become common for artists to step things up and create original, album-quality material for their free releases. The Weeknd did it not once, but three times in 2011, so this next move makes sense. Look out for the re-release of House Of Ballons, Thursday, andEchoes Of Silence as a remastered package in 2012.
