For the past month or so, the folks at The Fader have been running a series called X-Squared that teams up some of their favorite producers and rappers. And today, they posted one of the finest entries yet as it finds cloud rap's go-to producer, Clams Casino, reworking "Moon & Stars" by Big K.R.I.T.
The vocals on Devin the Dude-featured track, which originally appears on last year's fantastic K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, have been slightly sped up to match Clammy Clams' production. But you won't even notice the minor change in pitch as your head nods furiously along to the bass and brass-heavy beat. Something tells me that these guys need to work together on a proper project.
