Last week R.E.M. announced that they're calling it quits. During a concert in Atlanta, Coldplay paid tribute to "one of their favorite bands of all time" by covering "Everybody Hurts." The cover had added meaning since Georgia is the home state of R.E.M., and it was a fitting song choice since Chris Martin seemed to be genuinely saddened to hear the news of the band's retirement.
