The terrifying crash was caught on video, as were the immediate moments after the fatal incident, which claimed the lives of two Tennessee National Guardsmen.

Two people are dead following a Black Hawk helicopter crash near Huntsville, Alabama that was caught on video.

Per regional outlet WHNT, the crash occurred on Wednesday in an area near the Highway 53 and Burwell Road intersection. There were no survivors aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk, with the two crew members who died later confirmed to have been with the Tennessee National Guard.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in an initial statement that the crash had occurred at approximately 3 p.m. local time, resulting in road closures in the area. Also involved in the immediate response were deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. The latter agency also shared multiple statements on the crash, largely detailing alternate routes for affected roadways.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of two Tennessee National Guardsmen, and our prayers are with their families during this heartbreaking tragedy,” Brigadier General Warner Ross, who serves as Tennessee’s Assistant Adjutant General, said in a statement. “We ask Tennesseans to join us in supporting their families during this time of unthinkable grief.”
