Water is wet, the sky is blue, and there was another brawl at the Waffle House
In a video that has since gone viral, employees at a Texas Waffle House engage in prolonged physical altercation with unruly customers. Guests can be seen jumping over the counter and throwing punches at staff, who understandably fought back.
The footage starts out with a verbal argument between a woman and an employee, which really ramps up when a worker throws a plate from behind the counter. At that point, the woman gets up on the countertop, along with a second woman, who falls behind the counter. More punches are thrown as more employees and customers get involved in the fight. It looks like things are about to calm down as both sides separate—that is until one of the customers hurls two metal chairs at the employees, who are still behind the counter.
It was that last moment that really the internet in a chokehold. The video shows a metal chair being hurled at white woman on staff, who casually deflects it with her arm, prompting many online to anoint her as a real life superhero.
