Police are searching for answers after a woman was shot and killed while playing Pokémon Go in a New Mexico park Friday night.

21-year-old Cayla Campos was playing the game alongside her boyfriend near Bianchetti Park in Albuquerque, BuzzFeed News reports. She witnessed a robbery taking place nearby, and when she tried to drive away, her car was riddled with bullets.

Campos was shot in the back of her neck and crashed into a nearby home. She later died, according to police. Authorities have no suspects at this time, but told KRQE the “robbery involved a red car that is possibly a Ford Mustang and a silver four-door sedan.”

The young woman, who had plans to become a dentist, grew up in Albuquerque. Cody Bell, her best friend, attended high school with Campos. “She was just such an amazing person,” Bell told KRQE. “She was my closest friend. I am just devastated that she is gone.”

Campos' cousin said she was "so beautiful and kind and loving."

"I don’t understand and I’m so sad and I’m angry and I wish you [were] still here," her cousin posted on Facebook, per BuzzFeed. "My heart is broken, and that’s an understatement. We [were] supposed to go on so many more adventures."

In 2017, 60-year-old Jiansheng Chen was shot and killed by a private security guard while he was playing the popular game in his minivan. Before that, 20-year-old Calvin Riley was shot and killed in San Francisco while playing it in 2016.
