A wild raccoon has become a star on social media after someone captured video footage of the animal politely walking up to a Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru window and receiving a donut.

Florida resident Samantha Guptil shared the clip that has gone viral on TikTok of the animal getting a quick snack. Guptil was waiting in line in her car with another person while the furry animal wandered to the window and accepted a donut from one of the employees.

“What in the world? My dude. He wants some Dunkin’ Donuts,” Guptil said in the video. “What is he doing? Are they gonna give him a doughnut?”

Guptil continued as the raccoon waited patiently: “Oh, they’re gonna give him a doughnut? Oh, my God! Do it. Throw him the doughnut.”

The Dunkin’ employee then handed a frosted donut to the raccoon, who carefully grabbed it and ran off to a nearby bush to enjoy the snack. People have been loving the wholesome moment and leaving all sorts of comments on social media.

“This is a good commercial,” one person wrote, while another said, “I was expecting a toss, but seeing him reach up for our was so much better. This obviously isn’t his first time.”

The video of the donut-eating mammal has become so popular that it’s been viewed over 15.9 million times on Twitter since Guptil shared her clip on May 5. The video showed a calmer side of the raccoon species that could also be a danger to humans.

Raccoons can carry rabies, roundworm, salmonella, E. Coli and more. If that weren’t enough, the CDC said feces from the animal can contain the eggs of a worm called Baylisascaris procyonis,  which can cause severe neurologic illness in humans.
