Even if you haven’t heard the name Ivan Berrios, you’ve almost certainly seen his work. At 26-years-old, the Miami-based photographer and video director has already shot some of the biggest musical acts in the world, including Diddy, Migos, Justin Bieber, J-Lo, and more. However, he’s best known as DJ Khaled’s right-hand cameraman, documenting the extravagant lifestyle of the We The Best frontman.
“I never have an off day,” Berrios tells Complex in an exclusive interview. “Every opportunity that’s given [to me]... I make the best out of it.”
The Miami native takes after his main subject, emphasizing the importance of hustling hard, standing out, and networking constantly. It’s what led him to traveling the world with Khaled and becoming his go-to photographer and video director.
By all intents and purposes, Berrios has made it. But despite the success and kicking it with big stars on the regular, he stays on his grind.
“My motivation is to be one of the biggest directors in the world. So I feel like I’m still not where I want to be.”
