The LAPD has reportedly located the woman that was naked in Dani Mathers' Snapchat and is ready to come forward and file a charge, TMZ reports.
The still unnamed woman is reportedly in her '70s and wants wants Mathers to answer to the law for posting a picture of her naked while changing clothes in the locker room of an LA Fitness. The woman is willing and fully prepared to testify.
The charge brought against Mathers would likely be a Dissemination of Private Images charge, which is a misdemeanor offense that is punishable by up to six months in jail.
If you're not familiar, Mathers recently came under fire for body-shaming after she posted a photo of a woman changing with the caption, "If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either." The post soon went viral and she returned to Snapchat to share a sort-of apology with her followers. "I just wanted to acknowledge the photo I accidentally posted on Snapchat here earlier today, but I wanted you to know that was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do," she said in the video. "I have chosen to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know that body shaming is wrong and that's not what I'm about and that’s not the type of person that I am."
She went onto claim that she intended to send the picture to a friend of hers, but accidentally sent it to everyone because she is new to the social media app. "That photo was taken to be part of a personal conversation with a girlfriend and because I am new to Snapchat I didn’t realize I had posted it and that was a huge mistake." The L.A. City Attorney is currently reviewing the case and deciding if they will prosecute.
