Michael Vance, a 38-year-old murder suspect from Oklahoma, streamed himself on Facebook Live while fleeing from police Sunday night. Vance is suspected of killing his aunt and uncle, appearing to try to decapitate them, as well as shooting at two police officers and a civilian woman, carrying out armed car theft, and fleeing arrest, according to CBS News. Vance allegedly fled authorities in a stolen police vehicle while livestreaming his escape.
In the first of two videos, Vance published to his Facebook (which has since been taken down), Vance shows the camera his gun and says, "Letting y’all know, look, this is real. See, that’s a fucking gun. That’s the real deal. It ain’t a joke. This ain’t a prank." He added, "This is a lot more intense than I thought it would be."
Vance's uncle, 55-year-old Ronald Everett Wilkson, and his aunt, 54-year-old Valerie Kay Wilkson, were both found dead and had wounds to their neck that suggest attempted decapitation, according to CBS news. Ronald Wilkson also had gunshot wounds. CBS reports that Wilkson later shot and wounded another woman and stole her car.
Vance is still on the run as of Tuesday, as local police continue to search for him. CBS News reports that Vance was last spotted about 30 miles from the Texas border in western Oklahoma on Monday evening.
